Tuber

A storage organ used for propagation and food storage. It may be a fleshy root (e.g. Dahlia, Begonias, Anemone, Cyclamen, and potatoes) or a swollen underground stem with buds or "eyes" as in a potato. Tubers can be flat, rounded or irregular in shape.
