Pinch Back/Pinch Out

The technique of removing or 'pruning' the soft growth at the tip of a growing shoot with the thumb and forefinger or snipping-off with snipers. Pinching promotes branching, (lateral growth) a bushier, fuller plant, as well as encouraging flowering. Also known as stopping.
