The idea is to create the effect that the plants grew in that space without man's help, such as you would find wild flowers growing in a field. For the home gardener, this could be planting in grass or a natural, non-garden setting. Bulbs naturalize nicely and lend themselves well to a blooming statement. (eg Crocus or Narcissi in grass).
