Callus
Cork-like protective scar tissue that forms when a plant has been damaged or cut; such as that formed over the end of a cutting, and from which roots develop, or over a smooth wound caused by a pruning.
Additional Information
When propagating some succulents it is best to have the leaf form a callus, to prevent disease and rotting.
