BT (Bacillus thuringiensis)
A bacterium which will destroy the stomach cells of insects that consume it but is safe to humans, birds, pets, and plants. It degrades quickly in sunlight so spray early in the evening. This biological insecticides will also kill young butterfly caterpillars. It is commonly marketed under such trade names as Biotrol®, Dipel®, and Thuricide®.
