Bare Root Roses
Bare-root roses are roses that are dug in fields from rose nurseries in the autumn, stored, and then sold directly to the customer. They usually have no leaves and have been pruned to 3 to 5 green canes about 8"-12" long. Even though the canes may appear very small, they will usually grow into hearty roses. Healthy roots should be brown and have a moist texture.
