Backyard Wildlife Habitat
A backyard or limited area situation where native plants and materials are providing food and shelter for protection and reproduction for birds, insects, and mammals in ones own backyard.

Additional Information
Anyone can have their backyard certified as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by contacting the National Wildlife Federation. There is no minimum size for a yard to be certified. As long as it contains the basics of food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young.
