Arbor

A free standing structure used in the garden to support vines or climbing plants of all sorts. Can be used for shade, a walkway, or just a focal point. Arbors are constructed with various materials which can include; branches (rustic look …see bower) latticework, treated lumber and more recently plastic kits are available. This term is sometimes used interchangeably with pergola.
